Site manager Ståle Gundersen accepts bookings for accommodation.
Moelven installed the rigs in January and February. Most everything is now in place. Gundersen has 132 new rooms for accommodation for the building and construction industry in the Drammen region.
– We are almost completely ready to accept employees in the building and construction industry. If someone needs more rooms than we can provide at short notice, we have good solutions in place outside our own facility, says Gundersen.
He is now out on the market and offers tailoring for the building and construction industry. There is a lot of activity there during the day and new projects are underway.
On Fjordbyen Innkvartering's neighboring site, the groundwork for the new local hospital in Vestre Viken has been completed. This means that all work below the ground has been completed. Now the body of the building itself will be erected. At most, 1,000 people will be working on the building site on a daily basis until it opens in 2025.
Then the first construction phase in Drammen Health Park, which can also be considered the nearest neighbor to the construction hotel, will be opened. Groundwork will start there before the turn of the year.
The outdoor area of the construction hotel is gravelled.
– We will pave asphalt, mark parking spaces and make the surroundings really nice. We are about to start that work, but that does not prevent us from being able to offer a good solution for accommodation for the construction industry long before that time. Here we have a new and modern facility with everything needed for good rest and free time between working sessions, says Gundersen.
