– Well-organized with suitable facilities and a great kitchen, says Bravida’s project manager Bjørn Torry Thulin.
Fjordbyen Innkvartering is more than just a workforce accommodation provider with catering. During the day, we also offer meeting rooms and catering for the professional market.
– During the daytime, we have capacity for everything from general meetings to other types of corporate gatherings, says Nielsen.
Bravida is one of the key players involved in building the new hospital in Drammen, which is being constructed on the neighboring lot next to the accommodation facility.
Bjørn Torry Thulin is the project manager for K4001, Bravida's delivery of all electrical work for the central building of the new hospital. At its peak, the company had up to 130 employees working on the site at the same time.
– We are now approaching the final phase. By the summer, everything will be in place, tested, and delivered. At that point, we will have been working on the construction site for over three years, says Thulin.
On December 11th, he gathered all his staff in Drammen at Fjordbyen Innkvartering for a Christmas lunch.
– We know Fjordbyen Innkvartering well. We’ve been a customer and had our employees accommodated there for nearly three years. For us, it’s about having proper housing close to the construction site. You can’t get any closer than the neighboring lot, and our experience is that they run the facility well and provide great food. Fjordbyen Innkvartering has an excellent kitchen. We also had our Christmas lunch here last year. A suitable venue and good food are two important factors for us, says Thulin.
Bravida has also held all-staff meetings in the canteen at Fjordbyen Innkvartering. Over the past year, Eidos, Lier Municipality, and Drammen Helsepark have also hosted daytime meetings with catering at the facility.
– We have daytime capacity for meetings with catering. It fits well with our operations, and it’s something we want to do more of in 2025. Companies needing a good meeting room with food service are warmly welcome. We’re looking to find good solutions for more businesses, says Nielsen.
